Teacher's Pet

Back to school for lots of Scottish children. Many, of course, are taking their first steps in Primary Education.

Good luck to them all. May you blossom and grow, and make lifelong friends.

No 3 was up and dressed at 6am. We were the first in the playground (not at 6 am!) and she was delighted to see all her classmates again.

By hometime, the socks had fallen down and the blouse was untucked.

The older girls were off to High school. No 1 going into 5th year (Highers this year!),No 2 heading in to 3rd year (the year they have picked their subjects for). Hair was straightened, makeup artfully applied, phones charged, new shoes broken in and ties lost !

They have all summer to prepare their school uniform but I still laughed out loud when No 1 shouted down the stairs "Muuuuuuum....have you seen my tiiiiiiie"?

We're settling in tonight to watch some footy ! This isn't a footy house but with a meeting of Scotland and the 'auld enemy' AND showing on cooncil telly...after a 14 year absence - it will be standing room only.

(I love my English friends and blip friends dearly - but when it comes to footy - we take no prisoners!!!). Enjoy the game.

Here's No 3- resplendent in her new blazer with the 'secret pockets'.
