Valparaiso

Today I went to Valparaiso. After breakfast I met up with some Brazilians who wanted to go too, but they were slooooow. We finally got to the bus station around 10.30am so we all booked tickets and then I got on the bus...and they didn't! Oh well!

In Valparaiso I wandered around, doing the Lonely Planet walking tour. It's a very pretty coastal town with steep hills, brightly coloured houses and lots of funiculars and stairs. I went to visit the poet's house there too, which was very interesting! On the way back to the bus I bought some banana bread and a fresh juice, then got some mini oranges too.

Back in Santiago we had spaghetti with pesto for free dinner!
