Brewhouse Yard - £260
Not hangover from last night :)....
A perfect morning to wake up to. 7am, and no need to rush about....7am is a lie in for me! 2 cuppas, bacon sarnie, and then we're out on a long walk to the woods. nice and warm too this morning...think there's a heat on the way at the end of the week.
back home and cleaned the house top to bottom again, in between picking a decent crop of tomatoes, and more than enought broad beans for me and mums dinners!
trip into town then to take this pic. forgot it was Carribbean Carnival day in town, music blasting out as the procession made it's way throught town to the Forest. I parked up at work and made my way down to the Castle to take this pic. You can see the Castle at the top of the photo. This is Brewhouse Yard Museum. The museum depicts the social history of Nottingham over the last 300 years. Housed in five 17th century cottages adjacent to the famous 'Trip to Jerusalem' public house. Brewhouse Yard once contained a thriving community of 20 houses with, at its peak, a population of some 127 people.
Today the surviving buildings house the museum and contain a mixture of reconstructed room and shop settings, and gallery displays. Here you can experience being in a Victorian home, see inside a child’s bedroom, root through the cupboards in the kitchen and pump water.
home and then a trip to the cem. back and then the task of mowing the lawn....when is a single womans work ever done!!?
lots of highlights from today....the best being me booking another holiday in Alcudia for me and mum....6 weeks and counting!
