Dead or Alive....you decide

Took the camera down to Newhailes House today with the thought of trying some shots around the grounds - managed to get a few good ones and whilst this one is not the best, I loved the fact that depending on how you looked at the tree would determine whether or not you thought it was in good shape or not -

From the side that is shot, the tree is bare and apparently lifeless - damaged by nature (or something) and never recovered from it - almost dead....and yet from the other side - life - fully grown branches with an abundant leaves and fruit ready to be harvested.

A picture somewhat of our lives or even how we can view others.....maybe part of our lives have been damaged and there seems to be no life and yet another part there is an abundance of life - in others do we look on their failures or focus on the areas where life is abundant and fruitful.

Let us concentrate on the positive - in ourselves and in others - let us see the goodness that we and other people have to offer and maybe then we will allow the "apparently dead side" to slowly grow and rediscover life once again.
