Early evening wind-down
My mum had a hip op yesterday. I went up to the hospital after work today and she seems to be doing well - frail but determined and keeping the nurses in order. Oh, dear! After which I went up to Farley Mount for a wind down. It's that side of town so took no time at all and was lovely and very peaceful.
This conventional flower shape is actually the seed husk of a knapweed, believe it or not. And though the one here looks solitary, there were thousands upon thousands in the wildflower meadow behind the Mount. Most, though stand rigidly upright, only this one chose a graceful curve.
So this is my bit of happiness for today. Hope you had a good dose too x
