From the dark corner.....

Life is a merry-go-round...

Good evening.

I gave Bony today's picture and he promptly decided to go on strike. So, like the army, I am ready for action!

Where do I start this overcast, sticky day? I woke up really thirsty this morning so I reckon I must have slept with my mouth open. Yes, I realise that image of me with my mouth open (probably dribbling too) is not an appealing one. The other thing that I worry about is how many spiders I swallowed in the night. On Radio WM last week, Caroline Martin was saying that the average person eats at least four spiders per year which have crawled into your mouth overnight! I read that too! Eeeeeek!

Anyway, despite these horrible thoughts and thirst, I left for work feeling pretty cheerful today. I was so thirsty, I had two teas in McDonalds listening to crap music before I trundled up to the council house where I ploughed straight into another load of Discoverer report amendments in the dark for a good hour before anyone else showed up and blinded me by putting the lights on. I prefer the dark, the glare of the screen is enough for me without feeling like I'm working in a supermarket with fluorescent lights overhead too.

I went up for my fried egg toastie soon after that. Despite the fact I am eating fine, my work black jeans are so loose I can get them down without undoing them! Horrors! If I stand next to Bony, you won't know who is who at this rate! Sorry, I digress... Back to the catering ladies. Debbie was on the phone making a doctor's appointment and when she put the phone down she was most indignant. 'The receptionist wanted to know why I wanted to see the doctor! The cheeky cow! I wasn't going to tell her all my troubles!'
The other lady said 'You should have told her you wanted mad, passionate sex with the doctor and that you needed a half an hour slot..'
We all laughed at that. I got my toastie eventually and then slunk back downstairs.

The day passed quietly enough. Nuzhat is on holiday for a fortnight so I got a cheese, ham and pickle sandwich, salt and vinegar crisps and a Toffee Crisp (yum!) and ate them sat in Mell Square at lunchtime where I took today's picture.
Sorry, it's not very exciting. Best viewed large.

I got home to a sulking Bony..

Me shouting: Bony! Do you want to say a word?

Bony: BOLLOCKS!

Oh well... Track? Here is Joe Bonamassa with a fine cover of a Sam Brown song - Stop!
