Meadow Brown Butterfly.

Believe it or not, this little butterfly was perched on a window pane of our conservatory first thing this morning.

I had to quickly grab my camera, which did not have the appropriate lens attached, and I took a few snaps of its underside from inside. I then went outside and took this one from quite a distance. As I moved in to take a closer view it flew off.
