Fields of Gold
Well that was my intention when I set out to get my blip tonight, but I spotted a hot air balloon drifting towards Stirling. I rallied through Bannockburn and through King's Park hoping for the dream alignment of balloon, Stirling Castle and the setting sun. Such dreams are made of - chased the balloon and ended up doing a wheely in the gravel of some big Hoose - proprietor chased me down the drive in his land river but was very nice when I explained - no shotgun!
Missed the balloon aligned with the castle but did catch it landing - heard another balloon watcher ask did you catch that? Thought he meant the balloon but no, four deer had run through the field while my camera was focused on the bleeping balloon.
Back to plan A, the field I had planned to blip the sun setting over had been harvested - great news for the farmer, even managed to plough it! Tough for me. Then I drove round trying to catch some of these elusive farmers harvesting, by the time I did, the sun was setting and the foreground was too dull.
So my planned picture of the glorious golden fields of the Carse with the sun setting over the hills is just this, but listen to Eva, washed away my disappointment, such a talent, robbed of her life far too soon.
