In a purple haze

I am still trying to catch up on chores and settle in after our holiday - that's what happen when you go away for a long time I suppose!

We have recently planted a few flowering shrubs and I went out to water them today and noticed all the bees buzzing around. I liked this one of the bee in the purple haze from the lavender. While I was taking photos and trying to focus ever so carefully, I suddenly noticed someone else who wanted to be included.

While I was taking photos in the back garden Thomas was getting ready to go ride his bicycle in the woods - he left it in the front while he was getting ready. When he came out about an hour later, the bike had gone! This is his new much loved trail bike that he got only 6 months ago...and our property is fenced and gated. He is understandably very upset and cannot believe that someone would just come onto our property while we were at home and steal his bike. Things like that just do not happen around here.
