The last little bit of colour?
The summer wild flowers are all but over - I just managed to find this little flower lurking in the grasses (and got seriously stung by nettles whilst taking the photo!) - but most of the other flowers I saw were rather bedraggled with torn petals. As the autumn colours have not really started yet it is that boring, in-between season of no colour, and as a result I am feeling very uninspired.
I am busy getting things ready for school next week - all the school shoes, trainers and rugby boots have been bought and I am busy sewing labels on the new bits of uniform. Now off to help Luke pack for his term at Strasbourg Uni - he has no idea of what to take as he is only there for a term and communication with them has been a bit difficult - but just in case he is taking all his rugby kit and winter woollies. Strasbourg is a very inconvenient city to get to - despite being the home of the European Parliament there are no direct flights from London, so it is a flight and trains and takes ages to get there.
