Chicken Run

I took the Cygnet out for drinks and snacks at the garden centre with friends this morning while SWMBO stayed with squirrel and waited for a service engineer for Bags boiler.

Needless to say he wanted to go and visit the hens and the fish. They have some pretty big coy there these days. They also have quite a collection of fancy coral (at least I think this is a coral).

The man arrived for the boiler check while SWMBO was out taking the Cygnet to nursery. I asked him if he could give me a lesson in how to use the heating ..... the last owner liked his 'toys' and this seemed to be one of them.
It transpires that the system is wireless and you can carry the controller about and is very expensive. However, the system had been bastardised and hard wired (why?????) and was faulty anyway.
So it had to be changed.
But the engineer spoke to Bags on the phone who said that all she needed was a dial to set the temperature. So the very nice man fitted one and didn't charge her.
What a nice man.
