Exploring a new city.

Wandering the streets and getting a feel for Portland. A pleasant enough place full of young faces and a vibe that really can't be described any better than simply a little weird. Something in the air perhaps. Tattoed grunge teenagers loitering on the corner beside well dressed yuppies, fashionable new age hipsters beside folk that look like they just walked out of the 70's.

Treading the pavement with the sunset, listening to live music serenading through a nearby park, and sitting back with a beer and a cup of clam chowder to take in the sights on the sidewalk outside a local brew pub. Meeting Wes later in the evening with a lady friend of his. Dressed to impress drinking mojitos looking out over the twinkling lights of the city 20 stories below in a classy place rising high over the Willamette River bisecting the lights like a black marker.
