Georgia aquarium
This place is immense. The largest aquarium in the world. Pricey at $35 each entry but well worth it i think. If I ever step foot inside a sealife centre again I will be sorely disappointed.
They have everything. A dolphin show, whale sharks (pictured). Manta rays, beluga whales, penguins, sea otters. All under one roof. This blip tries to get the scale of the tank. Simply breath taking. You move down a walkway underneath the tank with all the fish surrounding you.
After a late start we got the MARTA downtown and walked to the aquarium. We happened upon a Waffle House (one of over 200 in Atlanta alone) and I tucked into eggs, bacon, hash browns, raisin toast and a huge waffle. All for only $6.50. Then to the aquarium. It's in the Olympic centennial park which looks a bit worn now since it was 1996 when they had them.
Then afterwards we walked to turner field with the wife's old college softball friends. Braves vs marlins ball game. We tail gates out in the parking lot for a couple hours before heading in. We were up in nosebleed section and don't think I caught any of the runs (braves homered before we got to our seats). Left game midway through 7th innings with braves 2-1 up and headed to a bar for more drinks, then caught a cab back to hotel for much needed sleep.
