Crabbing on the Jetty
As children we used to jump in the sea from this jetty. My mother would be waiting with one of those old fashioned towelling beach robes ready to wrap up up. Now we are staying in the house opposite, the boys and their Auntie B keep nipping over for some old fashioned crabbing. I'm going to use this shot for the 'reflections' category of our photo competition., I just wish I'd been able to get closer - but it was high tide!
Earlier in the day we drove over to Moelfre where my aunt used to have a house, and on to Red Wharf Bay where we played around with the cameras. I started building a tower of stones as an idea for the 'seven' category, and then the boys and their Auntie decided to try and take a photograph of a tower of stones being knocked down - with some great results as you can see here. (by the way it is an already dead crab on top!)
So far, reading, playing cards, rock pooling and crabbing, seem to be going down pretty well. There's been no complaint about the lack of wifi, and the photography competition we've set ourselves has been a real focus ('scuse the pun) for us all.
