The Duvet

15 tog at least but I would rather see the beautiful down and feathers on the lovely white geese I spent time with today.

Its been one of those days when I have been able to please myself, been answerable to noone, except for dear #1 daughter this morning who wanted to borrow my printer, as hers had expired, to print off the new song list for tonight's gig where she will be singing with her band for a private party in Shrewsbury. That all done successfully the rest of the day was my own (I decided to leave the cleaning and ironing 'til later) and went to Madeley (Cheshire) to have a walk round the pool where there is always so much resident wildfowl to see. My first recollection of white geese at aged 4-5, was always to be chased by them whilst I was crossing a field to see my friends in the neighbouring farm and ever since have not been a great fan of them and still a bit scared but today has changed my mind as I spent it with 5 gorgeous young ladies (geese) who followed me round everywhere and we sat together in the sun watching the various goings on. The ducks and Canada Geese are going through their moult and all looked very sorry for themselves - particularly the Canadas.

When I first arrived in Madeley the said 5 young ladies were causing a traffic problem as they were wandering about in the middle of the road but most people in Madeley are used to it!!

I took 223 photos today! and this was my favourite; I was sorry not to have caught a catch-light in her bright blue eye though - but C'est la vie..... I hope you might like to see the first photos I managed to put on Flickr here
