Rideau Canal

After hiring a car in Toronto, from a district with lots of good street art, it was a 5 hour drive to Ottawa. I eschew Sat Nav, on the basis that a chap with a geography A level has no need. Ottawa conspired against me. My paper maps said I had to follow Wellington Street. I did and then got lost, only later to discover that Ottawa has two, unconnected, Wellington Streets.

An immense thunderstorm preceded dinner (including a couple of pints of Alexander Keith's Cascade Hop Ale) and then a stroll around the City. The locks of the Rideau Canal were impressive in the moist evening air.
