Why the hat?
Originally posted in colour but changed to B&W. I found the colour too distracting and not fitting for the mood I was trying to create. Art bullshit I know, but what can I say. I've even started watching the great British Bake Off recently. Must be the hormones in food packaging.
I went cycling on Sunday. Out for a total of 6 hours, and even when I wasn't cycling, I was sitting in a pub garden. I don't wear a cycle helmet (silly me). End result, is a rather red head.
Played badminton last night. I get pretty hot and sweaty at the best of times when playing badminton but last night was so humid it was several times worse. I always have a little hand towel to freshen up with in between games. Last night, using it on my head was akin to drying yourself with sandpaper. Ouch.
So ...... I should have worn a hat when I went cycling. Not a helmet mind you. They are unflattering at the best of times, but on me they just look totally stupid, or more to the point they make me look totally stupid.
Attempted to make Kaese Spaetzle last night. I wouldn't call it a disaster, but it didn't come close to the Spaetzle I had in Saarburg. I think the Spaetzle was a little undercooked and the whole dish was a little too dry. Need to figure out a way of reducing the dryness without resorting to more cheese. There was enough cheese in it already to bring on a heart attack!
