'Hawks Big Win'

Tonight was the first match of the AFL finals series where our Hawks took on the Sydney Swans for the second week in a row in this first Qualifying game.

I took Dylan along to the game tonight and it was 2 firsts for him, his first night game and his first finals game and the Hawks didn't dissapoint and ran out 54 point winners. The first half was a real arm wrestle and both teams went in to the half time break with the score all tied up at 31 points each. But in the third quarter, the Hawks blew the game apart kicking 5 goals 2 points while the Swans could only manage 1 goal 1 point.

We get a rest next week after this win and are straight into the Preliminary final the week after for a place in the Grand Final.

Bring it on, I love footy finals time in Melbourne.
