Driving
Far too busy, non-stop day, didn't get camera OR phone out to take photos until we were finally on the road and it was dark!
Said goodbye to friends off on an adventure to Maseru this morning, they will be away for a year but still remaining part of Jubilee. Excited for them. Massively. And admittedly a little bit jealous as we would love to be headed that way!
Then home, to finally start packing. In four hours we managed to pack clothes, the boys' bed, bedding, tech, coffee percolator, food, toys, healthcare, toiletries, AND stuff it all into two cars (mum and dad's car was stuffed to the gills) and actually set off before tea time. The boys tried valiantly to stay awake until we reached the other side of the M25 but in the end both kids and I fell asleep. Suitably refreshed by KFC and Starbucks, Bean and Bear sang loudly most of the way up the M40. Beautifully tuneless, totally random, Bear shouting at Bean if he stopped, completely thought-destroying, happy singing. It could have been a lot worse. They did eventually give in and fall asleep again as we neared Manchester, and amazingly both made the transition to bed pretty easily. We didn't stay up very much longer.
Phase One of The Move: Manchester.
Zzzzzz.
