Carnoustie

Heading south now. Two nights in Carnoustie, two in Durham then back to work on Monday.

I've left the Highlands with monster midge bites as souvenirs. Carnoustie is mercifully midge free. This is the infamous Barry Burn which did for Jean Van Der Velde's Open Championship hopes in 1999. We are staying at the hotel by the 18th green which has a suite named in his honour. I hope he can laugh about it now.
