Coming in to land

A couple of clumps of unseasonable poppies are the focus for this determined hover fly.

I called in briefly at Pipe Hill Heathland on my way to Lichfield Waitrose. I'm having my dining room and lounge decorated and my brilliant decorator (who is also a plumber and electrician) is well on with the work. But although he's neat and hardworking and easy to get on with, I still find the best way to cope with the chaos is to drive away.

Sparkie has no such option. She's sitting atop the pile of lounge cushions that are safely out of the way in the spare room :-)
