Stephanie is Gone
We received the news early today that our lovely friend, Stepho, had finished her life here on earth.
I mentioned the circumstances in yesterday's post, but the details are that the final Friday in August, Steph & Randy spent the day in ER because she had a migraine headache, a condition she had occasionally experienced for the past approximately 20 years.
So Saturday morning after an MRI, Steph was taken into surgery and a tumor that was larger than a golf ball and smaller than lemon was removed from her head. The doctors said they had removed 99.9 percent of the tumor. And they were very hopeful for her future.
This past Monday, Steph starting acting funny -- dizzy, disoriented, language skills were diminishing. They thought she had had a mini-stroke. Today, this morning, Steph had a massive stroke. Later in the day she breathed her last.
I'm not sure of Steph's age, but I'm guessing 55 years-old.
We, her friends, are stunned, shocked, saddened, and full of sorrow. We're so very grateful that she has the hope of heaven and was a firm believer in Jesus Christ, the one and only God who broke into our world and died to take our sin, not our mind.
This has been a quiet and reflective day.
Good night from Southern California.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
