The storm begins
After the wonderful weather of yesterday, we woke to a very grey, damp day. Conversations over breakfast were all about whether we should walk or not. The rain became heavier and the decision was easier to make.
So, I drove home at 9am. It was before the worst of the rain, but the wind was whipping up white mares' tails over Ullswater. This was a grey scene so I've converted it to sepia. I stopped the car in a layby and opened the window to take the shot!
Back home it's very windy but the rain has disappeared and there is late afternoon sunshine. Nice to be home.
Tomorrow I have a festival pre-walk to do so I'm hoping for better weather.
