I was nearly blown away!
My first full day in Ayr started with buckets of water being thrown forcefully at my window. That's what it seemed like anyway! The wind howled round the house and I could hear the roar of the waves from my cosy bed.
I was upstairs by 9am having my sugar puffs deciding not to go out at all today. The trees bending outside the window weren't encouraging me to go anywhere. Mom wasn't going anywhere so that was fine. I did something I'd been meaning to do for ages and read a book I'd been promising to read and review for the last few months. I really enjoyed it and read the whole thing in one sitting definitely leaving an arse groove in the settee like Homer Simpson!
The book was Hell to Pay by Jenny Thomson and well worth a read. It's a thriller about a woman who sets out to avenge the murder of her parents. It's set in Glasgow and is a really fast moving book with plenty of grim humour throughout. I'll do my review tomorrow.
Dinner was nice! Pork chop, apple sauce, spuds and peas with nothing being cremated. I did the washing up and decided to run out while it wasn't raining. What a stupid idea! As soon as I got round the corner, the heavens opened and the gale hit me with a renewed force and I felt like I'd been slapped in the face by the rain. Clinging onto the wall with my camera peeking around the corner for a split second, this was the only picture I took. The sea is just opposite that hut but I wasn't going any further down.
I trod in dog shit on the way back too and if I knew where the dog owner lived, I'd post it through the letter box. I had only been out of the house two minutes and was going back soaked and with a shitty right boot which is now standing in the hall drying after me scrubbing it. Wherever you may reside, I expect you heard me swearing!
Track? I am now sat with a glass of wine watching X Factor getting Comfortably Numb.
