Fungi

(Back Blip) Today we walked from the apartment to Portinscale, and then along the shore of Derwentwater below Catbells. We had planned to get the ferry back from the far end of the lake, but we had got there relatively quickly, so we decided to carry on a bit further, and then we ended up on the other side of the lake near the Lodor Hotel and the waterfalls. We then carried on a bit further, and then it came to the point of no return, so we ended up walking all the way back to Keswick. We rewarded ourselves with some very tasty ice creams.

In the evening we went to Luca's Italian restaurant and a superb meal, which included a garlic mushroom starter, although I don't think it was made with these. We saw loads of different fungi throughout our walk, and there were so many different colours, shapes and textures in the woodland.
