16.1C starting with a cloudy morning brightening to blue sky through the afternoon. Light breeze.

Dentist this morning. Filling replaced ... again. Fingers crossed. Both mine and the dentists.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk before I had lunch. Might as well let the filling settle down before eating I thought. As we walked down the bridle path towards the shore we could see 'Valhalla VI' making its way to Westhaven after a morning of working the creels. Once we were across the railway line and nearer the shore I took some photos. There were gulls following the boat as it neared its mooring. The tide was fully in.

We went up to the fishermen's huts where the owner of 'Shamara II' was stacking creels in the creel rack. We stood for a while and watched 'Valhalla VI' being moored at the outer end of the channel through the rocks and the skipper putting his catch into his dingy and beginning to row ashore. Then we carried on towards home.

There was a brief shower this afternoon, but the breeze dried everything up quickly so I was able to get the front lawn mowed.
