Kenilworth Castle

Today I went on a 5 and a half mile walk in the fields around the beautiful ruins of Kenilworth Castle. For part of my walk I was joined by three daffy pheasants who followed the same path as me. They scampered ahead, just fast enough to be too far away for a photo and just slow enough that every now and then they would be startled by my footsteps, let out an alarm call and speed up, until they forgot I was there and then slowed down again and it started all over again. They made me chuckle.

I couldn't decide between this shot or the one above. I liked them both. It was a lovely walk.
