Michael, P.I. (this would have worked much better had his name been Magnum :)
Michael was walking slowly towards me while I stood waiting to cross the street. I have mentioned before how my luck with the older generation of Leeds is statistically bad so I was hesitant at first but decided to give it a go nevertheless.
He agreed straight away and I took a few shots, both portrait and landscape orientations. Not sure why but I have started to prefer the landscape style more, possibly as I can include more of the background. I know it isn’t great in this case however.
Afterwards we started chatting and we got onto the topic of jobs. Michael has had a varied career path, from being a civil servant to being in the military police serving overseas, to being a private investigator. The latter part intrigued me so I asked him if he could remember a case he could tell me about.
Michael relayed a story in which he was investigating a tv personality (he didn’t give me a name but said it was at Granada Studios), who was suspected of fraud. The personality was using his tv appearances to benefit himself, but not in a lawful manner. Suffice to say, Michael found the evidence he needed and the gent was no longer in their employment!
I left with more questions than answers after having spoken to Michael, but maybe that was what being a PI is all about…?
