A year in Canada

Day 40 – Halifax, Nova Scotia

We were sad to say goodbye to our trusty hire car today (Chrysler 200). After two weeks, it feels like our car! We had a short drive back to the centre of Halifax where we dropped the car off without incident. Luckily, our hostel is only a 5 minute walk around the corner, as we are not used to carrying all of our bags now!

In the two weeks, we drove 4,694 km (2,897 miles), visited 4 provinces, filled up 7.5 times and spent $555 CAD (£346) on fuel. For all you Brits out there, the average price of petrol here is £0.87 per litre. What a difference!

After checking in to our hostel, the rest of the day was spent relaxing, watching a movie, and NO DRIVING!
