Ohio Gourd Show

I was right about last night. The excitement of the gourd show kept me up most of the night.

I kept having dreams and visions of flying gourds. Bottle gourds, canteen gourds, apple gourds, and even the dreaded caveman gourds. Scary...frightening...gourd-a-ghostly.

Unlike me, Merrick slept like the baby he is. He was lights out when he hit the pack-and-play that was supposed to be a crib.

It seems like all that good sleep would have made him sunny and chipper. Wrong! (What did he do to the baby we had yesterday?)

He wanted to push the stroller that he was supposed to ride in. But...there were a lot of gourders around. (Me, and 500 old ladies.) So, he pitched a couple of fits...and started dis-obeying...going where he wasn't supposed to be.

Oh well. I hurried through the displays, and took a few pictures. This was one of my favorites...I guess because it was so colorful. I put about 30 more on my FLICKR PAGE...trying to give you an idea of what some crafters do with gourds.

We are now home, and the little man is getting ready to go to bed. Overall, he was a good boy, and we had a nice couple of days.

Will catch up with your photos in the next day or two. It's late, and I'm going to join Merrick in an early bedtime.

I bought maybe 12 gourds. The last picture on my Flickr page is of Merrick carrying a dipper gourd...my big purchase of the day. 10 dollars, but it is pretty.
