1000 days

I knew that the 1000th blip would happen while we were away but I couldn't quite remember which day it would be. Without internet access it was impossible to tell so when we came across this beach with huge piles of shells, we actually made 998, 999, 1000, 1001 and 1002 just so we'd have the full range covered! Can't quite believe I've taken a photo for so many days - particularly as it started out as a rather ambitious new year's resolution. Thanks to all those who've helped me keep going.

We decided to head over to the other side of the Cherbourg peninsula and visit some of the WW2 sites. We visited a German battery at Crisbecq and enjoyed the tour around the large site. We then headed over to Utah beach, St Mere Eglise and the site of a large battle at La Fiere. An interesting day of history and memorials.
