Beyond repair?
This poor bike, or what's left of it, has been laying on the edge of the football field for many weeks now. No one cares and no one will take it away.
It has nothing to do with my day, which was brilliant, but I passed the bike on my way home from the store and it became my blip...
Today was the first of many sewing and knitting opportunities that I and a colleague of mine are responsible for on Tuesday afternoons. I didn't think that many would come and thought it would be a slow start. Oh boy, was I wrong!! I had four women waiting for me and from that it just escalated... During the first 10 minutes I was alone with them all. Three wanted to learn how to sew and I had no clue about what machine worked and what didn't... Finally my colleague came and I could relax. It's not that I can't sew, I can, but he's worked as a tailor for over 18 years so I gladly hand the sewing part over to him. And by then I had three women that wanted to learn how to knit and then a friend of mine - another colleague also wanted to learn. That was a challenge since he's blind. But we had fun trying and even if we didn't succeed this time, we'll try again. I have to rethink my whole teaching style in that case. I also had a woman who was left handed, so I got to do everything backwards. :D Many challenges today! But a great day. :)
