John Mayer

Went to see him last evening. Great show. Like his music and he's a brilliant guitar player. Could be the "Clapton" of his generation. The opening act was a kid called Phillip Phillips - he won American Idol last year. Liked him then and wasn't disappointed last night. It's got to be great for him, opening for Mayer; there are similarities in their styles so he was playing to a very favorable crowd. This picture, from the jumbo-tron (seats were just ok) is a bit blurry but it beat out the enamel bed-pan, re-purposed as a rest-room sign, in the joint where we ate supper. I thought it was cool but K was less impressed.
