Thursday Night in Banff

Tiny Tussock Reporting

Well the best laid plans of humans and dogs are often screwed up by the weather and their plan to walk the Teahouse loop today was stopped dead when The Boss and Bossess tried to go down to breakfast this morning and found the outside stairs that they normally used with a good cover of fresh snow. We had also encountered frozen trails at Bow Lake earlier and this development just confirmed the decision to postpone the hike for another year or so.

There is a ton of walking around the town so we decided on "The Coffee Shop" trail which included a breakfast bagel the The Boss could have eaten for every meal of the day and the Bow Falls finishing at the Banff Springs Hotel for hot chocolate and tiny marshmallows I recalled that I had been there 5 years ago so I guess I am a well travelled little stuffed dog…Eh?

We had carried out a test run for this image last night but when The Boss moved into the middle of the road and set his tripod up on the dividing strip every tourist in town saw him and thought what a great idea for a photo that was so moved into the frame in front and didn't show any inclination to move out, so tonight he was a lot slicker and moved a little later and a lot faster to get this shot. Diana was behind him and got some nice "moving lights" shots from passing cars but The Boss preferred this more static image which for those interested was made using one of the "Art" modes on his Olympus camera which he discovered entirely by accident the night before while wearing gloves and pushing the wrong buttons.
The Boss said that it is an ill button push that doesn't reveal unknown benefits. The Bossess just said he was lucky.
