Art in the Dark

Calgary, and for some reason we were all surprised at the size of this place. This is actually stupid as Calgary is in the heart of Oil and Finance and in spite of truly devastating flooding that occurred that totally filled the below street levels of the hotel we are staying at, there is little signs of the damage now except for some signs of flood damage we passed on the way down from Banff.

I have never seen so much mirror glass and the centre of the city is a Photographers dream but The B"s were attracted to this structure in the front of the Bow Tower, Calgary's tallest structure.
It is called "Wonderland" and created by Jaume Plensa between 2008 and 2012. The door on the side will give an idea of it's size.

Diana leaves tomorrow morning and has been a grrreat companion and friend (and really loves dogs too) having a full bunch of "fur kids" waiting for her back home. We will miss her wonderful "Southern style", her superb photography and her ability to charm Iced tea out of reluctant waitresses. As usual she created "Staff trouble" by showing The Boss some of her photographic processing add on's so The Bossess has hidden the travel credit card, reserving it for more important potential purchases. (non photographic).

This shot was on the iPhone so there may be signs of camera shake if you look too closely. The shooting was done under the watchful eye of a security guard who seemed to be a fixture so The Boss decided against the full tripod and stuff.
There are some amazing attractions and tomoro we will visit a Tropical garden on the 4th floor of a Mall and other delights.

Oh…and The Boss saw Wyatt Erpe complete with black cowboy hat, black suit and black limo outside a prominent hotel but The Bossess destroyed the moment by revealing that he was only the hotel Valet.
The Boss was heart broken…yet again. Sigh!!!

Bigger if you really need to.
