Porty People and Places

You can just make out the pilot who flew this Airbus back from Geneva this afternoon. He had to climb to 38000 feet over the English Channel to escape the worst of the turbulence that seemed to have conspired there to remind us all that humans are not naturally born to fly! The orange airline has recently emblazoned this slogan on the front of their Edinburgh based fleeet. When the mist cleared I was very pleased not only to discover Inchkeith in the right place but to rediscover that the whole of east central Scotland was there to welome us home! I was privileged to read a fascinating academic article on my iPad, on this homebound flight that has made me re-think all my fundamental tenets on the very stuff of citizenship. Now I really don't know whether I have come home or not!
