Red Lake

Under the inspiration of many of you, I woke up this morning before dawn to shoot some photos of Reno at dawn. While it was a beautifully crystal clear morning, the dawn was uninspiring.

But, I decided to take the day off and enjoy the autumn in the mountains before the weather moves in. I drove over to Fairplay, California - my very favorite wine region in California. On the way over Carson Pass, I stopped and took this picture of Red Lake.

I stopped at three wineries I haven't visited before - Skinner Vineyards, Windwalker Winery and Shadow Ranch Vineyards. You can see them here (vineyards). While I was at each I not only updated my wine journal but took lots of photos.
