Refreshment!

I guess I could have entitled this "The end is nigh 4" as this is a picture of Grandson #1 having a much needed drink after his football training this morning. All that was left was to award the 'player of the day' trophy and hand out the team kit for their match next week; so the end of the session was certainly nigh.

While he and I were at football, grand-daughter #1 and Mrs TPV were at trampolining. so a busy start to the day was had by all.

Wanting to make sure we thoroughly spoiled them while we are in charge, we then took them down to Shoreham Airfield where we lunched in the airport cafe before picking blackberries on the way back to the car as our desert.

Then off to the beach fo a quick walk/scoot along the prom and a chance to throw stones in the sea, and back to the playground next to the carpark for 15 minutes before our parking ticket ran out. Unfortunately we were unable to spot a shop selling ice-cream! Fortunately just before we left the carpark an ice-cream van turned up! What timing!

Then it was home for the rest of the late afternoon, and an evening meal.
Oh! and I went off to help son #3 lay turf in his back garden... Very nice it looks too!

Then a game of tiddlywinks before their bedtime. I don't know about them, but I'm shattered!

But its been a great day, so well worth it.
