Sun-a-rise, Sun-a-rise come in the morning ...
It is fairly remarkable in nearly a year of blipping that I have not exhibited any dawn shots. The so-called golden hour for photographers has been pretty much disregarded.
I must admit that the only time I actively seek out dawn shots is when I am on photographic holidays and that depends on what time of year I go as dawn shots in the summer are a bit too much like hard work with their very early rises.
I am normallly a fairly early riser around about 7.00am but I clearly do not have the commitment of a number of dedicated blippers who regularly regale us with their early morning images. However, we are now coming to the time of the year when dawn is about the time I would normally be getting up. Perhaps if you are lucky and I am adequately motivated, maybe I will try to seek out the sunrise views. I will need to break out of my morning routine which involves no greater exertion than letting the dogs out and walking to the paper shop just across the road. After all it should not involve more than about ten minutes walk to get some stunning views. We will see !
In the meantime let me give you a foretaste with a view this morning from the decking at the back of our house. Those of you who follow my journal regularly will note the appearance of "my favourite tree" in the left-hand corner. The birds I am afraid to say were added later from photographs I took on the way to the paper shot but, at least they were taken today at sunrise.
