Alan was up early this morning for a Saturday as his pal Andrew was having a ten pin bowling birthday party at 11am. This is Alan just about to head off to it. I think you can tell he was looking forward to it.

I was also out partying. Me and 4 other friends were meeting at our pal Alice’s for our annual girly sleepover. This is usually held at mine but Alice offered to be host this year and I have to admit it was lovely getting away for the night on my own. Can’t remember the last time that happened!

Got to Alice’s at 5.30 and her lovely hubby Ian had made a delicious array of hors d'oeuvres for us to feast on with our bubbles before heading out to a local Indian restaurant for our main meal.

As usual when we get together there was plenty of serious, putting the world to rights chat as well as much raucous laughter. Back to Alice’s for a nightcap or three before bed. The clock on the bedside table was showing 3.15am as I put the light out. Fab!
