Porty People and Places

Sunshine on Porty ....

We went to see the Sunshine on Leith film last night. It is the first time I have been in a cinema and seen the exterior of that cinema on the screen - along with many other familiar locations round Edinburgh ( and Glasgow!) If you love The Proclaimers and you love Auld Reekie you'll love this film. Not sure how the wider audience would find it and while it has similarities with Abba's Mamma Mia I suspect it will accelerate towards DVD and other webstreams fairly quickly. It is, however, a lovely piece of cinema escapism and the Scottish diaspora will find it particularly evocative. Go and see it if you can!
