Proper poorly

Herbie slept through but unsettled with his cough and breathing all night. Not quite the happy boy he has been for the past week. Lunch time after fussing over lunch and not really sleeping due to struggling with his breathing as the day progressed I decided to go with J's advice and get him checked out again. Got an offer from doctor at J's work , so headed down there. He listened but was not sure what to make of it, so phoned his paediatric doctor friend who agreed to see him. Headed down there and he discovered he had an ear infection which raised alarm bells with him as this can lead to bacterial viruses that affect the lungs, eg pneumonia!! So back to A & E for an X ray which sadly confirmed he has pneumonia and he was being admitted into hospital straight away. God!! That is not what any mother wants to hear. I sat there sobbing with so many fears running through my head. Poor little thing was exhausted with being re- woken for various tests, pokes and finally the drip inserted! That was soo upsetting. Arrived at A&E at 5.45. Got him settled up in a room by 11.45!! Won't forget that day.
