Van Cortlandt
I woke up rather early and sat around until it was time to go to the school for the 11:00 bus to Van Cortlandt for the Manhattan College Invitational. This is the first (and last) year that I've actually been able to go. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. The race was competitive, hilly, and unbelievably dusty. I got boxed out in the beginning, so my first mile ended up being way too slow. Once the pack split up, it was easy to pick people off as they slowed down on the hills. I ran 14:23 and finished 61/201. Just try and imagine 201 runners funneling into a path four runners wide within 300 meters of the start. It was tough but so much fun. We ate lunch at the Stiff Weasel before going to cheer on the girls. I had a nice talk with Degs and I saw a bunch of my friends from Nassau there. We left around 4:30 and when we got back, I showered and then went to Panera with Paige. Then we went to her house to watch a movie with Kenny, Jaclyn, Kaitlin, Jack, Zach, Mike, Lindsey, and Shannon. We ended up watching Will Ferrel's SNL stuff but it was hilarious. I was falling asleep on the couch so I decided to call it a night pretty early and drove home around 10:45.
