Day 2

Falkirk Wheel - We were all very impressed at this massive and magnificent structure. It felt pretty mad to be hauled up 35 metres in the air while sitting on a boat with a cuppa and a jammie dodger.

Shoe shopping - Youngest's freakish feet partly thwarted this venture but eldest managed to get a new pair of trainers. They've both used their shoes as brakes for their bikes over the summer so their trainers are on their last legs (or last feet).

Home now. I've ambitions of making soup, burgers, cakes and cheese straws. I'll probably end up having another cuppa and watching Scooby Doo.
