I like holding your face, Mommy xxxx

Again we both woke up at 9 am after another night with a few wake ups, be it from me coughing or Eva needing cuddles/a little bit of milk (I should just call it cuddles).

We'd got a few visitors coming this afternoon. My mom, Aunty Lynne and little Leyla, Anna and Luke all came round at 2 pm after Eva woke up from her sleep. My Aunty Lynne had brought some cakes, so we all sat round eating chicken sandwiches and cakes, and drinking tea and coffee, and having a good old natter. It was so lovely for us all to get together and catch up.

Everyone left by about 4, and John and Laura were coming round about 4.30, but suddenly Eva seemed to go very tired again, rubbing her eyes and yawning. I was torn with what to do, as didn't want to disrupt her bedtime, but thought it's not fair to keep her awake if she's shattered, but when I tried to put her down for a little sleep she got very upset indeed. I ended up bringing her back downstairs to see if she'd have a little sleep snuggled on my lap. She got more and more upset, but she finally started to settle when I got her My Pal Violet playing lullabies, had her num nums in her mouth, and she was clutching my cheek (and at one point nostrils) for comfort (managed to sneakily get today's pic).

John and Laura arrived around 5pm in the end, and Eva hadn't gone to sleep, but had cheered up a little by the time they arrived. It was really lovely to see them both, and I love it when they come and see Eva, they love her to bits and she loves them.

Mike fed Eva her dinner, but again she didn't eat much of it. She did seem to enjoy her kiwi and carrot batons after while we were eating our dinner though. Especially the kiwi.

Eva has been a little unsettled and upset this evening, so I've been up to her twice so far (it's 11.20pm as I write this). Each time she has brought more burps up, and I've just given her a top up feed. She drank as though she was starving, poor baby, even though she'd had a big feed before bed at 8 pm. I do wonder if she is teething. She just seems very clingy at the moment and needing extra cuddles. I was holding her to me earlier, just before I put her back down again, and she was letting out little sighs as I cuddled her, as if she really did need those extra cuddles. Xxxxxx
