Read it again, Grandad! Xxx

Could not believe my eyes when I woke up from hearing Eva playing in her bed and saw the time this morning, 9.45 am! Definitely needed that last 4 hours of unbroken sleep though. Between Eva waking and me coughing to the extent I was actually sick at 6 am this morning, that extra kip did wonders.

Just stayed at home today. Eva seemed fine for most of the day, but as the day went on, she became more and more clingy and grizzly, poor babba. The highlight of the day was definitely Grandad coming round and reading All Join In to her in the back room as I prepared tea. I'd read it to her earlier in the day and she enjoyed it, but she enjoyed it just as much when Grandad read it to her, with me joining in in unison at the "we all join in", "beep, beep, beep" and "quack, quack, quack"moments with me also throwing in a few dances across the room and helping Eva to bang on the saucepan with the wooden spoon.

Eva actually properly drank some water for the first time today! Waheyyyyy :-) I'd tried giving it to her in different cups, but today, instead of just letting it fall out of her mouth or spouting it across the room, there was definitely some glug glug glugging going on and she wanted more! From out of a rubber eggcup no less! Which also doubles up as an excellent teether and doesn't break when thrown on the floor, winner!

It's 11.40 pm as I write this and babba girl has only really been asleep for the last 20 minutes. No, tell a lie, she's awake again. Let's see if she goes back off. She was so so so upset earlier, Mike ended up going into Jake's room to try and get some sleep. Proper beside herself she was. She's been fed lots of milk, been winded loads, had hundreds of cuddles, had her pooey nappy changed, sang to, talked to, rocked, left to lie there with me holding her chest, had me leant over her in bed resting my head on her chest whilst holding her hand, watched In The Night Garden, held Daddy's watch which she loves, but nothing is working, so guess I'll sign off here as I may need to go to her again. Think it's gonna be a looooooong night. Just wish I knew how to make it better xxxxxx
