Fire across Town

This has been a very warm day. The air is dry, and the winds high, but not too strong.

When Mr. Fun first arrived home, we could see a small puff of smoke across town. So we sat on the patio for a short time. Then we decided to head indoors to fix dinner and I realized that the fire was in the foothills. The view from where I had been sitting had a nearby tree in front of it. So when I stood, I could see the foothills, the smoke, and egads!

Our friend across town, Kurt, wrote on his FaceBook, "Fire behind our house near Skyline. Planes, Helicopters and fireman. Lets hope it doesn't spread."

The fire is now extinguished! We're very thankful.
