Scorpion

Another gloomy day! I thought I'd combine some shopping with a trip to the Sheffield Forgemasters works where I recently noticed from the bus this new and rather striking sculpture. I was disappointed that it wasn't possible to get a shot of it without a messy background, so to draw attention away from that, I did a little bit of processing. Well, I'm sure you didn't think this was SOOC ;-)
The lead artist on the piece was Robin Widdowson, assisted by quite a few others, and produced by a number of apprentices. The title reads:
The Scorpion. Powerful, Strong, Aggressive and with Longevity, these are the attributes that are needed to survive in the Steel Industry.
