We're going to dig up the road!!

Well not really the road that's just something they say on peppa pig.

But, they are digging up the city. Our lovely demolition city. Thanks again mother nature- not.

It was such a beautiful day we all decided to go for a walk, we weaved our way through the detours to the little bit of city centre we do have and met up with family for lunch, I had a yummy chicken and avocado sandwich with a soy hot chocolate (baby can't deal with coffee or regular milk).

After lunch we walked a different way out and came upon this excavation site that was in the process of being sorted by these giant metal creatures. Marley loved it, it was like digger heaven. There were these 3 and 2 off to the side.

Once we got home an hour or so later we weren't very hungry so decided on a bit of toast, Kanye my beautiful boy is trying new things and trying to be independent, that's awesome for his level of development but there is a troublesome side to him other than epilepsy where you can't leave him alone for a minute - this was one of those moments. While my hubby was attending to Marley and I was attending to Harper, Kanye decided to make toast- as I say that's so great that he's trying but not only did he put bread in the toaster he piled it up on top of the toaster too then turned it up to the highest setting and turned it on, I smelt smoke and came in to find smoke billowing out, filling up the house!! So glad it didn't cause a fire but really not what any of us needed.

Let's just say it became one of those afternoons that you almost countdown until their bed time.
