Downtown Deluge

On the way to my volleyball game this evening we were hit by another huge rainstorm. Of course the game was cancelled (hard to play with water sodden balls, which they are the instant they careen out of bounds) and we were left to drive home through the deluge. This photo does not do justice to the volume of rain falling from the sky. The windshield wipers are on full blast, but barely clearing enough of the rain to drive. Fortunately I know the way, so it was a matter of avoiding other drivers and the many potholes previous rains have caused. Going up the hill before La Ropa was like driving up a waterfall the road was so full of rushing water and rocks washed down from the surrounding hills. A great adventure to say the least!
